Parachute Day

As a young child, I remember the thrill I would get upon walking into gym class and seeing the parachute out on the floor.  Honestly, there was nothing quite as exciting!  Today I got to witness that same joy through the eyes of our Kindergarten students and let me tell you....the excitement is still there!

Daring Disciples Deliver

As you know, St. Patrick is so much more than a school.  It is a faith community with a wonderful parish!  Attending weekend mass is just as important as attending school each day, because it inspires our students to be disciples for Christ.

Each week, I attend a different mass and look for my students.  In the last 4 weeks, I have seen 40 of my students at weekend masses!  Now, that doesn't mean there weren't many more students at mass.  It just means that as I rotated from mass to mass there were 40 of our students in attendance.  I would love to see those numbers grow!

When I see a student, I give him/her a "Daring Disciples Deliver" card.  The student puts his/her name on the card and turns it in on Monday morning to be placed in the drawing.  Once a month, I will draw 12 cards and those students will be invited to join me for the "Brunch Bunch" breakfast.

Today was our first "Brunch Bunch" and I was excited to spend some time with the 12 students whose names were chosen.  Congratulations to Wyatt, Cesar, River, Crystal, Cora, Kiera, Claire, Matthew, Ava, Megan, Lily, and Khloe!  I can't wait to see who is next!

In Remembrance

This morning, the students and staff of St. Patrick School joined together at the flag pole in remembrance of the victims of the 9/11 attacks.  We prayed together for peace in the world, protection for all, and hope for those whose lives have been impacted by tragedy.

Ms. Monaghan's Message

It's been a busy week at St. Patrick School!  We had Student Council elections on Thursday and I have to tell you, I was blown away by the candidate's speeches.  Every single student really knocked it out of the park with his/her speech.  It is never easy to stand in front of your peers and deliver a speech, but St. Patrick students get so much practice that they really nailed it!

Please see the link below for my message this week!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Sept. 8

These amazing kids took to the mic to express their interest in becoming a member of the St. Patrick School Student Council.  Every single one of them did a wonderful job and we couldn't be more proud of ALL of them!
